Mastering requires critical listening. Mastering is a crucial gateway between production and consumption.
Different options for mastering:
Traditional mastering is processed from the final stereo mix , it emphasizes the final mix and optimize the sound translation on all sound systems by adjusting equalization and dynamic compression.
Mastering with stems:
Mastering with stems is a great option if you need to improve your mix while mastering. It is processed with stereo bounces of each elements (Drums, bass, guitars, keys, vocals, fx, etc…)
It allows me to be able to adjust certain elements separately and then to get the best mastering possible by improving your mix and still keeping it true to your point of view.
